Telegrass was created by Amos Dov Silver after completing several sentences for minor illegal drug activities. The platform’s title is obtained from the fusion of the expressions Telegram and grass. After his freedom from prison, Silver relocated to the United States where he launched a Facebook page for cannabis commerce. The page enabled cannabis vendors to utilize his Facebook wall under a pseudo name to advertise their goods. They interacted with customers by tagging his profile and even uploaded photos of the goods provided for sale. On the Facebook page, about 2 kilograms of cannabis were traded each day while Silver did not participate in the business or get compensation for it.
