El haiku es un género poético originario de Japón, que deriva de otro tipo de composiciones;
las primeras consideradas como haiku circulan por Japón a partir del siglo XVII. Lógicamente,
con el tiempo se extiende y populariza y hoy día se escriben en todos los idiomas.
La estructura formal del haiku son tres versos, con diecisiete sílabas, organizadas en 5-7-5.
Para mí, en su esencia se trata de una expresión que surge de una experiencia directa en la
naturaleza, que se expresa en lenguaje popular. El sujeto no aparece, y se procura evitar los
verbos, sobremanera el verbo ser.
